An overview of our collection is available on the <a href=\"https:\/\/old.lib.utk.edu\/agvet\/collection-resources\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"1210\">Resources in Our Collection page<\/a>. Items mostly focus on North American agriculture practices. But, we purchase items with an international focus when appropriate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We purchase items published recently, and we preserve materials with historical and regional interest. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>Types of items: <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Books: covers areas of agriculture and veterinary medicine. We organize our items using the <a href=\"https:\/\/old.lib.utk.edu\/agvet\/collection-resources\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"1210\">Library of Congress classification system<\/a>.<\/li><li>Articles and journals: available in-print and online.<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/old.lib.utk.edu\/agvet\/gov-docs-2\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"1202\">Government Documents <\/a>&#8211; Pendergrass is state depository library for the USDA. As such, we maintain collections from federal, state, and local groups.<\/li><li>Visual resources: DVDs, VHS tapes, CD-ROMS<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/old.lib.utk.edu\/agvet\/leisure-reading\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"1208\">Leisure Reading Collection<\/a> &#8211; We maintain a collection of new fiction and nonfiction books. <\/li><li>Seed Library &#8211; whether you want to grow herbs, flowers, fruits, or vegetables, the Pendergrass Seed Library has a wide array. A complete list of Pendergrass&#8217;s seed offerings is available on the Libraries&#8217; <a href=\"https:\/\/libguides.utk.edu\/c.php?g=843122&amp;p=9016345\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Seed Library guide<\/a><\/li><li><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/libguides.utk.edu\/content.php?pid=104542\" target=\"_blank\">Soil surveys<\/a> &#8211; We maintain soil surveys from counties across Tennessee.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2>Using our Collection<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Any patron may browse our collection.
