To get started, visit <em><a href=\"http:\/\/powernotes.com\">powernotes.com<\/a><\/em> and download\/install the PowerNotes extension into your <strong>Chrome<\/strong> browser. <strong>Create a free account using your <em>utk.edu<\/em> email<\/strong>.<\/font><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Then you\u2019re ready to launch a project. You can build and edit an outline as you conduct research.<\/p>\n<p>When you find web content relevant to your research project, click on the PowerNotes icon and log-in. You can then:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Highlight it<\/strong>: Highlight text to add a snippet to the outline for your research project.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Choose a topic<\/strong>: Assign snippets to categories that you create as you work.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Add notes<\/strong>, if you wish.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Harvest citations<\/strong>, which you can then upload to a citation manager.<\/li>\n<li>Transfer your outline and notes to a <strong>Word file<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You can save, annotate, organize, and track multiple research projects. PowerNotes keeps track of the source URL for each snippet.
