Staff from across the Libraries seek input from the committee on current priorities and projects, and committee members themselves introduce topics for discussion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Among its invaluable contributions to the UT Libraries, this year\u2019s Dean\u2019s Student Advisory Committee:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Provided input on the Libraries\u2019 website and future web presence<\/li><li>Engaged in discussion around Belonging and Engagement events and initiatives<\/li><li>Visited and shared their questions and ideas on the new Medbery Makerspace<\/li><li>Provided input on the Libraries\u2019 instructional resources and how to help students learn about library spaces, including Pendergrass Library<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Dean\u2019s Student Advisory Committee members are selected from among self-nominations and nominations by college deans and directors. This year, for the first time, the committee included members from UT\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/futureut.utk.edu\/\">FUTURE Program<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thank you, Dean\u2019s Student Advisory Committee members, for your service to the Libraries and the university.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>When the Dean of Libraries wants a student perspective on library services and resources, he can turn to his Student Advisory Committee.
