\"Reisman_small\"<\/a>Writer Nancy Reisman will read from her work on Monday, October 5, at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, as part of the Writers in the Library series.<\/p>\n

The reading will be in the Hodges Library auditorium at 7 p.m. It is free and open to the public.<\/p>\n

Nancy Reisman is the author of the novels Trompe L’Oeil<\/em> (Tin House 2015) and The First Desire<\/em>, a New York Times<\/em> Notable book, and the short story collection House Fires<\/em>, recipient of the Iowa Short Fiction Award.<\/p>\n

Her work has appeared in many journals and anthologies, including Tin House, Narrative, Five Points, Yale Review, Michigan Quarterly Review, Best American Short Stories 2001<\/em>, and O. Henry Prize Stories 2005<\/em>. She has received awards and fellowships from the Foundation for Jewish Culture, the National Endowment for the Arts, the Tennessee Commission for the Arts, and others. <\/p>\n

Reisman has been a member of the Creative Writing faculty at Vanderbilt University since 2005.<\/p>\n
