\"PoetrySpring_Jan25_news\"<\/a>The University of Tennessee leads off a semester-long celebration of poetry with readings and music by RB Morris and Matt Urmy on January 25. The event is part of the university\u2019s Writers in the Library readings series. The public is invited to this free reading and performance at 7 p.m. in the Lindsay Young Auditorium of UT\u2019s John C. Hodges Library.<\/p>\n

Matt Urmy is both poet and musician. His most recent book of poems, The Rain in the Bell<\/em>, was published by Iris Press in 2015. His new album was recorded with the late Nashville legend \u201cCowboy\u201d Jack Clement. Urmy is also a successful entrepreneur, one of the founders of Artist Growth, a cloud-based management platform for the independent music industry.<\/p>\n

RB Morris, is a poet, songwriter, performer, band leader, playwright, and actor from Knoxville. His newest book is Who Is This Man? Ali Akbar aka Horace Pittman<\/em> (2015). His most recent book of poems is The Mockingbird Poems<\/em>, from Rich Mountain Bound. Morris wrote and acted in\u00a0The Man Who Lives Here Is Looney<\/em>, from the life and work of James Agee. <\/p>\n

Books and CDs will be on sale at the event.<\/p>\n
