NDNP Awardees, 2014 http:\/\/www.loc.gov\/ndnp\/awards\/index.html<\/a><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Earlier this week, the National Endowment for the Humanities announced<\/a> $34 million in awards and offers for 177 humanities projects, including ten NDNP awardees for 2014.<\/p>\n

We are thrilled to announce that TNDP’s application was successful!<\/span><\/p>\n

This third award will allow us to digitize a further 100,000 pages of historic Tennessee newspapers to add to the 200,000 pages digitized over the last few years.<\/p>\n

We look forward to continuing our partnership with the Tennessee State Library and Archives<\/a> and the Library of Congress<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Two new states will be joining NDNP in 2014 – Nevada and South Dakota – and there will be eight returning states: Iowa, Maryland, Michigan, New Mexico, North Carolina, Tennessee, Vermont, and Virginia.<\/p>\n

Phase III will begin on September 1, 2014 — watch this space!<\/p>\n
